The recent earthquakes that have redesigned the Italian seismic map, have highlighted the vulnerability of prefabricated buildings in reinforced and prestressed reinforced concrete, mostly intended for industrial businesses. Built without the application of particular anti-seismic criteria between the 1950s and 1980s, they mainly resist static actions in areas previously considered non-seismic. Today, thanks to current knowledge, the same structures are not adequate to the new safety criteria required.
Created thanks to Fiber Net’s twenty-year experience in seismic improvement and adaptation, SAFE+ antiseismic devices have been developed and engineered, in compliance with UNI EN 15129 standard, as safety seismic devices on existing prefabricated buildings in reinforced and prestressed reinforced concrete.
